The former number 20 National Draft pick in Riley Collier-Dawkins, had waited patiently for two years without playing an AFL game, before finally making his debut last week against the Western Bulldogs. Furthermore, RCD didn’t look out of place, scoring a solid 76 SuperCoach points within his first AFL game. With a price of only $117,000, he becomes quite a tempting recruit after that performance.

However, we need to take into account that Richmond, unlike most AFL sides, has had an incredible run of success in recent years and their list is brimming with stars. This is why RCD spent two years on the sidelines, unable to break into the team.

I’m not doubting RCD’s talent at all, I’m just worried about how much talent Richmond has. RCD has been named to take on Geelong in the Grand Final replay this week, which is a good sign. However, he is no certainty for him to play his third game so, bringing RCD in this week is a big risk but not a terrible choice.
