Who are the young rookies up for grabs, in the leadup to round 9 of the 2021 AFL season, that SuperCoach players should be keeping an eye on? Well, personally, only two names in Richmond’s Riley Collier-Dawkins and Collingwood’s Caleb Poulter, come to mind.
We will start with RCD, who I mentioned as a worthwhile recruit last week. RCD has played the last two games and is likely going to continue playing AFL games, with the Tiger’s injury concerns mounting. Bolton, Cotchin, Lambert, Edwards and Presita are, and will remain absent from the senior side for the next month. As a result, this leaves the door wide open for players like RCD to keep playing.
However, an ordinary second game last week against Geelong might be an issue if he were to be dropped. Players like Patrick Naish, Thomas Dow, Sydney Stack, Hugo Ralphsmith and Josh Caddy, are all trying to make their way into Richmond’s side. Although, if RCD does play this week, he’s certain to do well in value, as a first game return of 76 SuperCoach points was promising.
Find out if Poulter is the better option though on page 2.
