Former GWS first round National Draft Pick Tanner Bruhn, number 12 overall in 2020, has made his way to the reining premiers in Geelong and it already turning heads for SuperCoach 2023. The 20-year-old is priced at $311,400 and has DDP (duel position player) status as a MID/FWD.
The Cat’s midfielder previously played 30 games in his opening two seasons, averaging 48.4 and 56.6. However, that was in a full Giants midfield. Now, with Geelong legend Joel Selwood retiring at the end of last season, the Cats are in need of a new inside midfielder and it looks like Chris Scott has found his man in Tanner Bruhn.
Bruhn scored 113 SuperCoach points against a powerful Brisbane midfield in last weeks practice match and didn’t look out of place. Bruhn attended 47.8% of centre bounces and is likely to retain those high CBA numbers entering the season.
This choice is a risky one, as there are several others in that price-bracket who could do just as well or better. Flanders, Worpell, Setterfield and Callaghan are just a few names who could have similar or better averages this season.
