Finn Callaghan, the former number 3 National Draft Pick from 2021, is set for a bigger and better 2023 season. The GWS midfielder played 5 AFL games last year and averaged only 55.4 points but don’t look too far into that.
The Giants have lost two star midfielders to the Tigers during the off-season in Jacob Hopper and Tim Taranto and as a result, Callaghan is set to be exposed to a lot more centre bounces than last year. Callaghan will be starting at a low $244,000 price, which is only slightly more expensive than some of the first-year rookies this season.
Also, Callaghan’s BE will only be 44, which should be easily achievable with the midfield time this kid will be receiving this year. Furthermore, Callaghan’s match simulation form has been very impressive. The 19-year-old has a lot of talent and he will now have the midfield exposure that he needs to shine. Keep an eye on his preseason scores. Callaghan is already in my starting line-up.
