These are just a couple of the missions that Obi-Wan embarked on, all while guarding Luke Skywalker’s existence. The ten-part books series that ran from 2005 to 2008, was called Star Wars: The Last Of The Jedi and as stated before, the series is no longer part of the canon Star Wars extended universe.
However, the concepts introduced in the book series, such as the Empire tampering with the distress signals at the Jedi Temple, Qui-Gon Jinn being able to communicate with Obi-Wan from the dead and there being a number of surviving Jedi that need help around the universe, are things that have remained canon.
Therefore, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series does draw some inspiration from Star Wars: The Last Of The Jedi. How much will Disney use though, is still unclear but there will inevitably be aspects that do, at times, appear to be quite similar. As a long-time Star Wars fan who read the book series as a kid when they first were released, I highly recommend that you read them prior to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s premiere.
