The most recent manga chapter of One Piece gave us a lot to process, with the possible return of Kozuki Oden. However, it’s Oden’s son in Kozuki Momonosuke that I want to focus on now, as there was a little more information about his Devil Fruit revealed as well.
We already knew that members of the Celestial Dragon’s elite in Cipher Pol and the strongest amongst them in CP-0, have infiltrated Wano. In a discussion with CP-0, the link between Momonosuke’s Devil Fruit and Kaido was finally revealed after years of speculation.
Dr Vegepunk developed the fruit that Momo consumed after studying Kaido’s fruit. This was during the time that Kaido was captured by the World Government. The Navy would never receive his research though, as the doctor reveals that his research resulted in failure.
