The Boruto Naruto Next Generations series has seen the return of several characters through to be dead and finished at the end of Naruto Shippuden back to life. The first was through the return of Kara double agent in Ao and the next is through the return of Jiraiya. Well, Jiraiya is back through cloning, which is a bit different to AO’s survival.
Still though, through synthetic humans and cloning, which has played a big part in Boruto thus far, as well as the Reanimation Jutsu in Naruto Shppuden, give us so many possibilities. Furthermore, these are possibilities that Neji’s voice actor in Steve Staley can support and hopes to happen to Neji.
Neji Hyuga was tragically killed during the Fourth Great Shinobi War in Naruto Shippuden. In fact, he was the only one of Naruto’s young friends to perish in the entire series. Many fans believe his death was pointless and would be happy to see Neji return to the series through the Boruto universe in a similar way to Jiraiya or through Reanimation.
When is comes to Neji’s potential return, I am not referring to his brief role in the time travel arc in the Boruto anime. No, I’m talking about a return for the character in the present time-line in Boruto Naruto Next Generations at some point.
Staley, in an exclusive interview with us over Zoom a couple of weeks ago, stated that he was hopeful of Neji’s return and has confirmed future work as Neji on the Boruto anime. For that exclusive chat, you can head to our YouTube video linked just below.
