With the new God/former Devil, a Demon, plus Angel friends, as well as the fact that it’s possible for Dan to overcome his guilt, all likely means that he will have assistance to Heaven in season 6 of Lucifer. For now though, Dan is sadly being tortured in Hell but a recent interview with the actor, Kevin Alejandro, confirmed that Dan’s guilt will be a focal point in season 6.

“I was on set a little bit in season six, so he’s coming back… just not the way everyone thinks he’s coming back,” said Alejandro when talking about the upcoming season 6.
As you can see, there’s going to be more of Dan’s story to come in season 6 of Lucifer. Sadly, season 6 will be the series’ finale and that means final closure on all the characters story, not just Dan’s.
