Is Neji A Wasted DLC Character & What Class Type He Be?

A recent manga page from Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed Neji will be the upcoming DLC character inclusion for Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker. Many have loved the announcement, the first real revelation since Hatake Kakashi was introduced to the game, however, some are not quite as happy.

After going through numerous Reddit, Facebook and Twiter comments from Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker fan groups and pages, I discovered that though players were happy to see a new DLC character, they were expecting more from the inclusion. However, I disagree and I believe that Negi can be a great VR Master and provide you with some pretty great Jutsu’s.

Now, I shall tell you why but first, I want to give you a little background reminder on Neji Hyuga. He was the first of the Naruto’s Konoha friends to become a Jounin, which he very much deserved. Neji was a tactical and academic genius and wielded one of Konoha’s most dangerous Jutsu’s.

That means that players who select Neji as their VR Master will be able to unlock the Byakugan, as well as Eight Trigrams 32, 64 and 128 Palms technique. The later Jutsu will be quite deadly in close combat as well, with it likely hitting all players within a certain radius. Neji’s attacks will most likely fall under an attack-type category and be deadly in Survival Challenges, which sometimes can be an absolute mess.

A Hutsu like Neji’s could allow players in Survival Challenges or other Battle Challenges rack-up numerous kills simultaneously and get a decent lead. However, the attack will have to be trimmed correctly and in close combat in an area players are unable to escape from quickly.

Furthermore, Neji will also have Gentle Fist and that could act as a way to disable your opponent’s abilities and Jutsu’s. More information about Neji will be revealed on the 20th of September from Bandai Namco.
