The moment Red Skull appeared in the most recent two Avengers movies, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, immediately fans wanted to know what was next for the character.
Stunned that the thought to be forgotten character had no only screen time but a hint that future screen time was to come as well. Red Skull, the first major villain that we see Captain America fight with, is not free from the Soul Stone.
What does this mean? It could mean that his soul is free and he is allowed to rest in peace or that he could in fact, return to the world of the living, which many Marvel fans believe will be the case.
Therefore, it’s possible that an angry Red Skull is on his way back to earth or unleash some revenge stronger and smart than ever. However, it’s also possible that he is no longer interested in such selfish acts at all.
In fact, in an exclusive interview with Red Skull actor Ross Marquand, at Supanova Melbourne 2020, he stated that he cannot only see Red Skull return but that he will likely return as an anti-villain rather than a man looking for revenge.
Furthermore, when asked is Marquand had been contacted by Marvel Studios for more films, the actor confirmed that he had not yet been but was eager to work with them again if the need was to arise.
