Bandai Namco has been quite generous as of late, as they have released a number of DLC’s and free downloadable content over many of their games in recent weeks such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker and of course, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as well. Furthermore, this new free update allows players to play online against other players for the first time!
The latest update for the RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot allows players to join in on a deck-building card came feature, which is similar to Tetra Master from Final Fantasy VIII and IX to Gwent from The Witcher 3. A similar minigame was also introduced in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Dragon Ball Card Warriors will have players collect cards of numerous Dragon Ball fighters, each with their own signature moves, and fight it out against casual and ranked online matches.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has always been a single-player game and as far as we knew, Bandai didn’t want to change that however, this update does give us some form of online content. Now, it might not be the types of battles some fans have been crying out for but it’s still a way Dragon Ball K: Kakarot players can go up against each other.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the second DLC expected to drop later this year. The upcoming DLC will showcase the events from the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F movie and include Golden Frieza, as well as Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta.
