It has been seven months since Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released and fans have enjoyed the overall game, which has been quite different to the previous Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z games, the last few Dragon Ball games released in recent years.
However, that doesn’t mean that the game has been entirely a success, as fans are getting quite frustrated with the delayed announcement of the games second DLC. Many believed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2 would be released in July, with GameRant also assuming that to be the case, however, it’s now mid-August and not even an announcement has been released.
No release date and no announcement of what we will be getting as part of the DLC 2, which, according to GameRant and online DBZ groups such as Reddit, has frustrated fans who purchased the season past when purchasing the game.
What’s worse is that many fans and critics found the first DLC to be very much underwhelming, with GameRant expecting the next Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC to be the same. This will be incredibly disappointing, as we have waited so long for its release and are also still waiting for an announcement at the very least.
If Bandai Namco was to follow with the current direction it did in the last DLC, we will likely see Golden Frieza, Super Saiyan Blue, Hit, Frost, Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken and of course, more Universe 6 fighters as well from the Dragon Ball Super arcs.
However, if the second DLC covers both the return of Frieza and the Universe 6 tournament, then the third DLC could showcase Goku Black, Future Trunks (Dragon Ball Super‘s version), Vegito Super Saiyan Blue and Zamasu, which to be honest, is what we are waiting for the most.
Then finally, much later on though, we will likely see the new Broly, Jiren, Kefla, Ultra Instinct Goku and a number of other fighters from the Tournament of Power. However, these additions will likely come in the fourth and fifth DLC’s for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot.
