Dragon Ball Super: Piccolo's Fusion With Nail & Kami Isn't Permanent

The latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super was released and in that chapter, we got to see many things that fans were eagerly waiting for. Moro’s full power, Vegeta’s new technique and most importantly, especially for this article, that an old Dragon Ball Z fact is now actually fiction.

In Dragon Ball Z, when the Namekian fusion was first revealed as Nail assisted Piccolo with some greatly needed additional power to face Frieza on Planet Namek, the Namekian warrior spoke of fusion. What Nail said was that a fusion between Namekian’s was permanent and that is completely fused the two souls, which created a new Namekian.

This fact was later confirmed by Kami, as Piccolo fused back with him in order to fight against the Android threat later in the story. However, the latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super, has revealed that the Namekian fusion isn’t a permanent thing, which means both Nail and Kami can be removed from Piccolo.

Vegeta’s new technique, which he learned on Planet Yardrat, allows him to un-fuse all souls connected in a fusion. Furthermore, Vegeta confirmed that this would work on all fusions and even told Piccolo that he could use it on him too.

This recent revelation sets ups a potential return for both Nail and Kami but also, a massive power-up opportunity as well for Piccolo. Think about it, Piccolo could now fuse with all Namekian’s in the universe and then Vegeta could just un-fuse them when whatever villain they are facing has been defeated. This technique is no longer permanent and that means that Vegeta can even assist the Namekian’s in Universe 6 as well.
