In the previous manga chapter of Dragon Ball Super we all watched in awe as Moro absorbed the power of the fallen angel Merus and accessed the power of Ultra Instinct. This makes him the third mortal that we have seen access the powers of Ultra Instinct in the manga series but unlike the others, Moro hasn’t trained his body to withstand the usage of such immense power.
Still, his power is impressive, even if his body cant withstands it. Furthermore, Moro is only the second mortal who has wielded the perfected version of the technique. As the other character who accessed Ultra Instinct earlier in the Dragon Ball Super series, only was able to use an early stage of its power.
Many actually forget who this other individual is despite him being an original character and vital to the early years of Goku’s story. That character I’m talking about is Master Roshi, who awakened early traits of Ultra Instinct in the Tournamnet of Power. Though this was an incomplete transformation yet, he did impress Whis and Beerus when he used it.
Therefore, Master Roshi, in the manga only, was the second mortal to access Ultra Instinct and that makes Moro the third. I say mortal because I leave out Beerus and all the other angels who we know can access that power. Furthermore, what makes these three truly special is that when Goku awakened Ultra Instinct, all the angels and god of destructions were shocked by a mortal using this technique. This as result, indicates that it’s unlikely any other mortal can use it as this time.
