The Dragon Ball Super and Boruto Naruto Next Generations manga just dropped and they were both incredible! In Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 66, we watched as several Z Fighters arrived to help Goku & Vegeta stop Moro who has fused himself with the earth and stolen angelic power.

Yes, one of those Z Fighters that has made his way to the battle-field is none other than Yamcha, a character that has previously been forgotten in the Dragon Ball Z series since Cell and acted as a joke character ever since. Yamcha even has a mock-manga series about him, this is how much of a joke one of the original character’s has become.

However, as the earth and the universe’s future hangs in the balance, he arrives. Along with the others such as Tien, Krillin, Piccolo, Gohan, the others at the Look-out and Vegeta, Yamcha shares some of his energy in order to power Goku back up but it sadly isn’t enough.

Yet, this is a hint that Dragon Ball Super might be considering a return for Yamcha. We have already seen several older characters return to relevance through Dragon Ball Super. Master Roshi, Frieza, the Androids 17 & 18, Krillin, Tien and even Broly have returned to relevance, as well as receiving power-ups.

So, why not Yamcha as well? I mean, there were hints that Yamcha wanted to be a fighter again in the Dragon Ball Super anime just before the Tournamnet of Power. Now, we see Yamcha, in his fighting gear, rock up against the greatest enemy that anyone has ever seen and miles ahead of anywhere Yamcha’s power could possibly be.

It’s all a hint that there might be more to come for Yamcha but for this arc, I think he’s done. Dragon Ball Super manga chapter 67 is expected to be released on the 20th of December.
