The latest Dragon Ball Super manga dropped a few days ago but there was so much jammed into it that we must keep on talking about it. The previous manga chapter showcased what looks to be the end of Moro, with Goku unleashing his full power against the evil ancient wizard. However, this victory didn’t come without the help of his friends.
This is where we learned something interesting about Piccolo. Moro was sucking the life and Ki from all people on earth and that included Goku. As a result, Vegeta gathered energy from all of his allies and friends to give to Goku, one of which included Dende.
The little Namekian is Guardian of The Earth but admitted that he was still in training however, along with the omission, he reveled that he has divine Ki within him. As Guardian of the Earth, he is developing his own God Ki, which for the moment it weak but for Piccolo, it should much stronger despite not showing it in the manga.
As we all know, Piccolo has fused back with his other half in Kami in Dragon Ball Z. Kami was the former Guardian of the Earth and was in this position for much longer than Dende, hundreds of years longer to be exact. This means that Kami may have developed his own reserves of God Ki, which he may have not even been aware of.
Hypothetically, if Kami did have God Ki reserves, as Dende does now, it should be possible that Piccolo could access it too. Piccolo and Kami didn’t get along well and only fused to fight against a common enemy. It’s possible that Piccolo hasn’t embraced the full potential of Kami’s abilities through reluctance and stubbornness.
If Dende can do it then it’s likely Kami can too and therefore, as Piccolo is 50% Kami, he should in theory, have the same abilities as well. This could be a window for Piccolo to have the much needed and overdue power-up in future arcs within Dragon Ball Super.
