For Boruto Naruto Next Generations manga fans, the origins of Kashin Koji is old news now but for Boruto anime-only fans, there is still a great deal of mystery about the Kara member behind the mask. However, the Boruto anime has revealed something about Kashin Koji’s future, post what we seen in the Boruto manga, despite the anime being behind in the story.
For those who are unaware, Kashin Koji a Kara double agent and is actually fighting against Kara, as well as their leader Jigen/Isshiki. Furthermore, the Boruto manga revealed that Koji is the biological clone if Jiraiya, which makes sense as Koji possesses the same Jutsu’s, fighting style and has a similar appearance to Naruto Uzumaki’s mentor.
This was all revealed in his battle with Isshiki, a battle that he was not meant to survive from. However, Koji narrowly escaped and hasn’t been seen since. The manga has since continued and Isshiki has been defeated but Koji’s whereabouts are still unknown.
Although, the most recent episode of Boruto showcased Koji entering Konoha and stating that his fate is truly linked to this village. Therefore, the Boruto anime has revealed that Koji’s fate is tied to Konoha, which means that his future after the Isshiki battle is within Konoha.
We can assume that this means that he may perish while defending the village in the future. Furthermore, being Jiraiya’s clone, he may serve as a trainer of Boruto, who has met Jiraiya when travelling back through time. Obviously, the clone isn’t the same person but still, it would be interesting to see their interaction.
Meanwhile, I’m sure many Naruto fans are just as excited to see the reunion of Jiraiya and Naruto. Yes, technically, Koji isn’t Jiraiya but we don’t know if the memories of Jiraiya have transferred over to Koji or not. It would makes sense if they have, as the two share fighting styles and Jutsu’s.
