The last few chapters of Boruto Naruto Next Generations have not disappointed us, with fans finally, after 3 years of speculation, had their prayers answered when Kara member Kashin Koji was revealed to be Jiraiya. However, it isn’t the Jiraiya that we all know and love from Naruto Shippuden.
No, this is a clone of Jiraiya, a man who was created by the Kara member Amado using the DNA from Jiraiya. Now, the way Amado was able to obtain Jiraiya’s cells is certainly the biggest question, as both Kabato and Orochimaru both didn’t even have a sample.
This means that it’s likely that either Amado recovered Jiraiya’s body or that he was close to Jiriaya. So close, that he was able to achieve storing away Jiraiya’s cells, a task that not even Orochimaru was able to accomplish. Remember, Kabato did state that is was impossible for Jiriaya’s body to be recovered in Naruto Shippuden.
Furthermore, there is a clear fascination that Amado has for Jiraiya and it seems as if it’s a little more than just respect for the man. Out of all people, why Jiraiya? There’s no way that he was able to obtain those cells easily. In addition, look at the similarities between the two men.
We don’t know much about Jiraiya’s family. Actually, we know nothing about his family, as they were never even referenced in Naruto. This means that there’s a good chance that Jiraiya could be related to Amado in some way and possibly even be brothers.
It’s tough to say, as all the information that we really have is that Amado must have been close to Jiraiya to obtain his cells, he looks similar and that we don’t know about either men’s true origins. So, it really comes down to just speculation but because we know so little about both their origins, there are so many possibilities.
