As a long-time Assassin’s Creed fan, I have seen my fare share of “rumours” for an upcoming game titles. Though, when I guessed that Egypt was a location coming up after playing Syndicate, I was pretty happy with myself being correct. However, despite that guess coming from little hints in both the Syndicate and Unity games, it was still a guess.
If Ubisoft decided to move in a different direction, those “hints,” would have been noting and irrelevant. It’s only because Egypt actually was the next location of the franchise that these “hints” were suddenly relevant and still being mentioned years later as an accurate prediction.

Since the release of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the same has occurred, fans and news publications have shared all sorts of “creditable rumours,” about Ubisoft’s next location in 2022. However, all of these are sadly, nothing but rumours and speculation. In fact, they’re the same rumours that were false and appearing in the lead-up to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’s release.
