2. Piccolo (Dragon Ball GT)

Unlike the first entry this now non-canon death remained permanent. Piccolo, a character that we have seen develop from an evil blood-thirsty villain to a loving father-like figure to Gohan and friend to the Z-Fighters, died in Dragon Ball GT. This was a final act for Piccolo and in the Dragon Ball GT universe, remained a permanent death.

3. Tien & Chiaotzu (Dragon Ball Z – Saiyan Saga)

In early Dragon Ball Z days, an individual could only be wished back from death once. After that, if a character was to die again, they would remain dead. As a result, when we watched Tien and Chiaotzu fall against the Saiyan’s attack on Earth, we thought that they would remain as fallen. However, this wasn’t the case, as the Frieza saga showcased later on but at that time, it was a sad moment.
