The Character Every Dragon Ball Z Game Forgets

He was slow to use in but was still one of my favourites, however, this characters hasn’t been a playable character you can fight with since Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast 2. This is all despite the fact that the man is one of the few characters who can use Ultra Instinct. A legend in martial arts from earth, over 300 years old, the creator if the Kamehameha wave, the first one to take down Demon King Piccolo, the teacher of Goku and of course, one of the few men to defeat that very same man.

It should be obvious now who I’m talking about but if it isn’t, the character I’m talking about is Master Roshi. I know, this is a character that was largely forgotten as a fighter in Dragon Ball Z, which is why he was absent from every Dragon Ball Z game since 2010’s Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast 2 and believe me, there have a lot of Dragon Ball Z game releases since then.

Many fans believe that his absence is due to him being significantly weaker than many other characters who continued to develop their strength but then again, Kid Goku, Videl and Mr Satan have all made countless appearances in all of the games since Raging Blast 2. Therefore, it’s can’t be a lack of power. Maybe it’s the fact that he can’t fly? Well, neither can Kid Goku and Mr Satan and they fixed that with some jet-packs.

Now more than ever Master Roshi needs to make a return to a Dragon Ball Z game and there’s still a chance that this might happen in a DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. The reason I think there’s a chance is through the recent relevance Master Roshi has had to the series in Dragon Ball Super. Master Roshi played a major part in the Tournament of Power and in the Dragon Ball Super manga, he was even able to access an early level of Ultra Instinct.

A max-power Master Roshi with Ultra Instinct will be a pretty cool addition to any Dragon Ball Z game however, for some reason, all people behind the Bandai Namco Dragon Ball Z games have thought otherwise. Hopefully though, their mistakes will be rectified in upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC’s and make Master Roshi a playable character.
